Green Innovations

As of February 2022, the implementation of the project, titled “The project of the world. Dialogue and cross-sector cooperation to drive the implementation of green innovation in the region.
The project is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway from the EEA Funds under the Active Citizens – Regional Fund Program.
The project is being implemented by the UP Foundation for Development Initiation.

WE BELIEVE THAT TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE
The project activities are aimed at building a culture of cooperation and social dialogue in the field of environment and ecology between local communities and local government units from 6 municipalities in Pomerania. Together we are working for the sustainable development of the Pomeranian region.

BUILD CROSS-SECTORAL TEAMS
On the initiative of the UP Foundation, 6 cross-sectoral teams were established in 6 municipalities in Pomerania. They included representatives and representatives of local governments, NGOs, business and activists.

WE RESPOND TO LOCAL CLIMATE CHALLENGES
Four six-hour workshops were held in each municipality, led by experts in the Design Thinking method. The teams designed green innovations for their environment.

WE STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY LEADERS AND WOMEN LEADERS
20 of the most committed female and male social activists are participating in a training and mentoring program to develop their leadership, organizational, communication and management skills.
